Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 89: Reol'ran's Experience

She was excellent.

One day, she would also take the throne for their city and become its queen along with her destined partner. She was set for life. But that all changed when her destined partner never appeared on the day of her coming-of-age.

It was rare that a yet-to-be-born person would be the destined partner of someone who was already of age to marry, but she had indeed ended up in that scenario. From then on, her life took a different route.

Binding one\'s life with their Partner was not only a holy ritual for a Heaven Soul young lady, it was also something that increased their potential in the path of growing stronger.

Since she had no Destined Partner to rely on while the others had it, she could never keep up with her peers even though she was more talented than most. What they did easily, she had to suffer till her bones broke to achieve the same or worse results.

One by one, she watched her peers surpass her in everything that she liked. She became lonely and… nothing. All because of a Destined Partner who didn\'t bother caring about her. And of course, since she was lacking, she didn\'t get to become the queen of the city.

But after years of feeling left alone, she decided to leave the city entirely in search of her fated one. She left the River of Destiny itself and began travelling from one World to the other.

Reol\'ran was sure that if she reached the same world as her partner, he would end up meeting her due to sheer destiny alone.

When she left the city, she was a mere Tier 2 Being. But as her travels abounded and she gained more battle experience and knowledge fighting different races, she evolved again and again and by the time she had lost count of the years and matured as a person—she became a Tier 4 being.

It was then that she began losing hope of ever finding out who her fated one was. By then, she had not guessed he probably wasn\'t even born and had immense hatred for him. So, she let go of her desire to find him and went back into the River of Destiny.

One day, she would meet him anyway.

Without finding her partner, she was bound to never evolve beyond Tier 4. So, might as well rest in her free time and learn something new about the world rather than risking her life travelling different worlds.

But it was then, deep within the ebbs and waves of the River, that she found a glimmering violet shard.

It had a strange color to it that attracted her. And strangely, it had a karmic tie with her. She moved towards it and after some years of travel, she got hold of it.

When she understood what it was, she was stunned. It was linked profoundly—not to her—but to her partner. She looked at the shard in detail and paled at the information written on the shard—and then, she had chosen to move against destiny.

Something that her race\'s elders had warned every child of Heaven Soul never to do unnecessarily. But this was not unnecessary.

This.

Her Destined Partner had to know what was written in the shard no matter what and it had to happen quick. As quick as possible.

Taking heavy handed steps towards that goal, she, for the first time, interacted actively with the only red karmic thread attached to her body. Unlike ever before, after she got in contact with the violet shard, it had grown much, much thicker.

And when she finally came in contact with the thread, she grimaced—it was too easy to touch his Karmic Threads. "He is a mortal?" she asked herself, visibly stupefied. Only that could explain why it was so easy.

Then, didn\'t that mean he was probably not even born when she was cursing him day in and day out for her myseries?

Not to mention… the incredible seed of hate she had built for him in her heart for no reason. She was a warrior, her hatred was never easy to dispel. Not even for herself.

But now, she found herself feeling weirdly aghast. What was she to do with this sort of hate?

But ignoring the immense sense of frustration, she felt for his thread and finally connected with him. He was just a simple mortal. No ability, no cultivation of any sort, and expectedly nothing going for him.

The grandest destiny in his simple, mortal, and meaningless life was that he was destined to be her husband. That alone could shift his life in any way. But the \'Mirror,\' it was not even mentioned in his destiny as far as she could read and she should be able to read a mortal\'s destiny easily.

Yet, I don\'t even know where you are…

Thus, she could only do one thing. Using the help of an ancient method, she added a new destiny in Mark\'s life—in the Destined Year @#$%, Month #$W, Day $%#, Hour $$, Marcus would appear in the Hunter World.

There, she could finally meet him and hand him the violet shard. Yes, after that, she didn\'t really have to mind him much.

But unlike her expectation, changing his destiny made the whole River roil and Reol\'ran paled in fear amidst the dark world full of Karmic Threads and deep, infinite waters. With no sky, no land, and no life. She could feel an oppressive force suppressing her from all around.

The loving embrace of the River of Destiny that she felt akin to a mother\'s warmth turned into harsh, deadly fingers that seemed to choke her breathless.
