Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 215: Got more than what he came for

"If you have to climb nine mountains, climb the first one first before worrying about the second one. If you know about all of them all at once, it is just useless pressure without much benefit."

"Well, that\'s fine. Tell me regardless, I might not be able to ask you again."

"The information about the Six Sufferings is general knowledge from Tier 4 onwards. In fact, just find some influential businessmen in the Demon World and pay them for it—they\'d give it to you more in detail than myself."

Mark was surprised. So it was common knowledge?

"Well then, I don\'t have more questions."

He stood up, ready to leave this cave. He no longer wanted to leave the Savage World immediately. He wanted to heal first before entering any other World.

"Friend," it said. "Good luck with your Suffering, may you survive it."

Mark\'s eyes just widened slightly. "So you did understand that it was about myself."

"No, I just guessed and your reaction confirms it. A Tier 2 facing a tribulation that kills Tier 5—your life indeed is exciting. From now on, I plan to travel a bit and see some peaceful worlds, also save some of them."

Mark looked back at it.

"I do not like a path of violence and do not want to walk on one any further. If I was willing to do that, I would have liked to be a part of your journey, but I cannot do that. You will kill a lot of people from now on, and hear a lot of curses, yet, do you still want to walk into such hell?"

"Jump into hell?" Mark shook his head. "You are an angel, but I am a demon. I thrive in hell, it\'s my home."

The Armor raised the wine in its hand. "Have a great hell of your own then. I\'ve had enough of mine."

Mark turned back, stared at the cave\'s mouth. Suddenly, he froze in place. At some point in time, the Armor\'s stats had changed—it had gained a small amount of Mindpower all at once.

It had been zero just a second ago, it\'s been accumulating silently!

Mark\'s heart skipped a beat. He was in no condition to fight the Armor all over again.

It teleported in front of him. The many dead demon corpses in the cave were suddenly pierced by swords that appeared out of thin air, and then, the corpses all turned into smoke and rose in the air like a small tornado.

All of the smoke converged on the Armor and in mere seconds, its sliced of arms were recreated.

It was in full health.

It used Blood Healing!

"This is a little trick called Mindpower accumulation. You can absorb it from thin air once you become strong enough, but you would run away if you noticed my MP rising, so I accumulated it beside my head and absorbed it all at once."

Mark growled. "I was a fool!"

It slammed its hand into his gut and Mark hissed in pain, but then, he frowned. A warmth entered him, filled him from head to toe with energy, and then, he felt sensations in his arm area. He had grown back his limbs.

And soon enough, he could also see with his eyes.

Mark stared at the armor with a complicated expression. It could have killed him—yet, it had healed him instead.

"There is no benefit for me killing you," it said. "Other than get the wrath of the force behind you. All Mavericks are usually trained by strong sects or groups, you even have a Tier 4 wife—so your group must be especially formidable."

Mark jumped back, and spread his wings. Now that he had his hands, he touched his own chest.

Alchemic Shapeshifting!

Fully healed!

"The force behind me, my sect?" he asked. "Yeah, indeed, but I don\'t like giving them the credit for my growth."

But now, Mark had second thoughts. If he fought now, he might be able to defeat the Armor. He might be able to win—not really.

Suddenly, the Armor walked forward and took back the arm that had been cut away from it. Then, it threw that arm at Mark\'s feet. Then, it tore away another arm from it and threw it at his feet again.

Mark stared, bewildered.

Then, the Armor broke its own leg and threw it at his feet. It then healed itself with Blood Healing and got back everything of itself.

Mark stared, bewildered.

It beheaded itself, revealing the empty insides. It threw the helmet at him, then healed and became whole again. It did that with all its parts.

Until finally, Mark had enough pieces of the Armor to recreate another Armor.

"What is this?" he asked.

"Well, you have the Mask of the Savage, use those and fuse it with yourself to complete the Savage build. The Will of the World couldn\'t completely copy myself because I didn\'t want that—but if you absorb it, you should be able to transform that Mask of the Savage trait into Armor of the Savage."

"Is that real, Reol\'ran?"

"No idea but sounds possible. I am completely sure it is not a trap at the very least, he doesn\'t have any abilities to pull such a trap off."

Mark absorbed the Armor pieces into his World Space and with a flap of his wings, left the cave. He turned back and asked: "How do I do what you just said?"

"Figure it out yourself. If you can\'t evolve a Trait by yourself, you are not worthy of wearing that armor."

Mark flew away.

The Armor walked out of the cave after a while and sighed.

At the moment, It only had one thought in its mind.

It had retired from the battlefield, but it didn\'t retire without leaving anything behind. Mark, a newly growing Maverick, would make its name resound once more.

Those who knew it, feared it, would have one more chance to tremble one day.

Hm, now...

It also decided to not let the Demon World absorb the Savage World. This was a good place to rest for a few millenia. The many dungeons in this world were starting to expand—and the Mist Demon was probably behind it all.

It was time he put that to rest.

After cleaning up this world, it would rest.

On the other hand, Mark was somewhere else, feeling rather lucky.

He was now completely healed and full of energy.

"In a sense, I both got the Armor which I fought for and even have answers to many questions." He laughed. "I like that guy, from now on, he will be my friend!"
