Chapter 219: Comparing Sizes, Jörmungandr
Azmodeus was currently face-to-face with an absolute behemoth!
Its size outmatched even the limitlessly expansive Heaven Exploding Sect, achieving levels of grandiosity never thought to be possible!
With its sinuous face and countless sharp, dark green scales, there was no telling just how much damage this thing could cause if it ever made it to the Heaven Exploding Sect…
Even so, it was neither the appearance nor the intimidating disposition of the giant serpent that left Azmodeus in a slightly excited state, as it was instead the fact that its aura had firmly planted itself inside the Early Star Radiance Realm!
This likely made it one of the very few Star Radiance Realm Experts within the Astral Plane!
Usually, one would be terrified upon encountering such a monstrosity, but for Azmodeus, the serpent only meant one thing…
"Loot…" He muttered with an unknown glint flashing past his blood-colored eyes.
FWIP!
He vanished from his spot, scaling the enormous serpent in but an instant!
It took no longer than half a nanosecond for his aloof figure to blur across the top of the serpent\'s forehead as he chipping off a few of its scales due to the after-wind produced by his immense speed.
Upon making it to the very top of the giant serpent, Azmodeus\'s gaze froze over as he pulled back his right hand, summoning forth Sanguinary.
BZZzzzz…!
Its sleek black and red edges intensely vibrated as the degree of sharpness emanating from it was enough to slice the higher-level fabric of space without even trying…
Furthermore, with the additional strength and sharpness-boosting runes inscribed into the sides of the scythe, there was no telling just how much damage it would be capable of dealing if it ever came into contact with another existence.
Unfortunately for the existence in question, Sanguinary had an insane level of power course through its surface, all of which was transmitted from its host, partner, and master, Azmodeus.
WAAAA!
Numerous crimson-colored energy tendrils shot off the scythe in great amounts. Such an action was quickly amplified with the size distortion of its host.
OOOM!
Azmodeus\'s size enlarged to an infinite degree as his aloof, immortal-like frame loomed over a miniscule section of the giant serpent like a divine god!
It seems like I am still quite a ways away from being able to match up against something so large...
Even with my Low-Star Law of Size Amplification and Gargantuan, there is no hope in ever transcending the limits of a 1½ Layered Plane of Infinity…
His thoughts stirred as he suddenly realized something after comparing sizes…
That something being the fact that the…
The Serpent Beast exceeds the limit imposed upon anything with a natural, inherent law below the High-Star Rank.
And for something to be able to reach this size, they either have to be born with a High-Star Law or somehow acquire it along the way.
But in both scenarios, it simply means that a loot bag in possession of a High-Star Law has walked right up to me and offered itself up on a golden platter…
Who would I be to deny the addition of a companion for my oh-so-lonely Law of Syneresis…?
With this sinister thought in mind, his focus returned to the building up of energy on his scythe.
He was prepared to eradicate everything in the Capital of Light if it meant he could obtain the loot before him!
…
Approximately 20 years after Azmodeus\'s first encounter with the Guardian Beast known as \'Jörmungandr\'.
In their first bout, the fight ended the moment the Jörmungandr noticed his existence, as it opened its gaping mouth and released some form of green energy using mysterious means.
For the following fights, the Jörmungandr brought him outside of the Capital of Light, as extreme levels of damage were being inflicted upon the lands, and that was simply unacceptable for the Guardian Beast.
Even so, after taking the battle elsewhere, the degree of damage to the surroundings only exponentially increased, forcing the Jörmungandr to take the fight to the skies.
This worked out quite well in reducing the overall damage done to the topography. However, a new problem quickly arose as fire and lightning rained from the skies.
With the sheer amount of energy contained in each erratic element, there was no way for any living being or object to survive the initial strikes.
Furthermore, the level of destruction showed no signs of slowing down, as universe-sized fireballs and acid spheres plummeted down from the heavens, leaving all mortal existences as nothing more than sheep to the slaughter…
By the 5-year mark, countless Tier 2 Double Leafed Squares were eradicated, leaving in their place enormous craters of immeasurably wide distances.
With the passing of the 10-year milestone, there was no longer anything unscathed within a radius of an uncountable number of gigaparsecs.
And by the 20-year mark, the topography of the immediate Kingdom of Light\'s vicinity was reduced to rubble… with innumerable lives having been lost in the crossfire between two godlike figures…
Many Amethyst Rank Experts attempted to stop the fight between their Guardian Beast and an unknown man. But whether they were in the Early Amethyst Rank or Half-Step Starshire Rank, none of them lasted even half an instant in the face of the two hegemony\'s overwhelming auras.
Even if they did end up making it within talking distance of the two battle-crazed beings, it was highly unlikely that either of them would listen to reason…
All they could do was watch—watch as their Kingdoms and Squares were razed to the ground with every stray thunderbolt or fireball that came their way.
After 25 years left everyone in its shadow, a total of 5 million+ Amethyst Rank Experts gathered around a large metallic dome as they stared up at the constantly flashing sky.
Watching as the whole world lit ablaze, they mumbled among themselves...
"To live so many billions of years... only to have everything torn down within a mere few decades…"
A Half-Step Starshire Rank Master heaved a defeated sigh as he personally watched his empire get slowly melted by a dazzling beam of green light.
...….
