Infinite Evolution System Made Me Too OP!

Chapter 336: Waking Up In a Cell

A hoarse, raspy voice hummed within the confines of a damp and cold prison cell.

With a dozen hard iron bars acting as the reminder that Azmodeus was no longer the strongest, he was left to sit and meander around in his thoughts.

While sitting on a marble slab bench with a pondering look, he noticed that he could feel… He could feel the cold seeping out of the moisture contained within the hanging bench. It was a feeling that had eluded him for far too long—it made him feel oddly human…

This feeling led to Azmodeus noticing something else that was also rather peculiar.

"My left ear; I have gone deaf in it…"

After fully accepting what the Infinite Evolution System said all that time ago, he realized that he would slowly but surely lose everything. And there was absolutely nothing he could do to prevent it…

"Well, shit…! No use staying in such a glum mood; I might as well check out my system interface and see just how much has changed! There must surely be something in there that will clear the clouds and brighten the day...! Surely..."

Putting the depressing thoughts to the back of his mind, Azmodeus called upon the Infinite Evolution System, and an illusory blue holographic screen answered his call.

After glancing over this part of his system interface, Azmodeus also looked at his Infinite Immortal World.

[Ding! Host, do note that Immortal Years are worth far more than Mortal Years; thus, the rates for the Infinite Immortal World have been drastically altered. But worry not because the values are still the same, and in fact, they have tremendously improved!]

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you scammer…!" Clicking his tongue, Azmodeus then went back a few steps and looked over the attribute part of his system interface again. "Everything looks pretty good, but I am rather curious about where those Immortal Lines will take my power."

He noticed something else while content with that aspect of his system interface.

"Where is my Singularity Technique and Loot Halos? I get that my Singularity Physique and Singularity Trait have been transformed into Singularity Coalescence, but what about the last one?"

Deciding to bring this question to the system, the response he received was, [Ding! The Singularity Trait known as Scythe Slash has been integrated into the very essence of your existence. Therefore, there was no need to include it in your stats. As for your Loot Halos… The system simply forgot…]

"Of course you did." Slapping his forehead in exasperation, Azmodeus swiped away the pop-up screen and waited for it to get a revision.

Luckily, it didn\'t take long before a revised system interface was thrown in front of him.

"Hmm… Why are there only Red Tier Loot Halos?" Azmodeus asked as he looked at the pop-up screen with a questioning glint in his gaze. "What happened to the rest of the Tiers?"

[Ding! The system automatically converted all your Loot Halos upon ascension. After all, none of the lower-ranking Halos would have any effect on Loot Acquisition in the Immortal Realms. In fact, the system did your ungrateful self a favor by converting all your Loot Halos into a single Red Tier Loot Halo.]

[Ding! The host should be grateful!]

"Is that so…?"

Azmodeus\'s face suddenly became far darker than before, and he was starting to feel the urge to take this cocky system interface to a recycling station. But showing remarkable restraint, he held himself back, instead focusing on his surroundings.

"Hmm… This place… I mean, it\'s quite obviously a dungeon. But what I don\'t understand is why I woke up in one…"

[Ding! The Host was likely locked up!]

"Nah fucking shit, smartass!"

While clicking his tongue in frustration, Azmodeus looked away from the annoyingly smug system interface. In the process of turning his head to the left, he saw something utterly mind-boggling.

Looking through a window that separated the room from the outside world with a few metal bars, he glimpsed into something that seemed far too surreal for him…

"This place… It really is the Immortal Realm," Azmodeus muttered to himself as he watched ethereal entities of untold magnificence soar through the skies and zip off into the distance. "Their cultivation; I can\'t even begin to glean into their depths…"

It was terrifying to imagine, but he truly had become one of the weakest beings in the world.

Even little Immortal children were more powerful than he was…
