The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

Chapter 80: [The end of the Event!]

Even though he was previously a general in name, he was actually a pathetic coward who got this position with connections and bribing. Enjoying his days of pleasure and power, he was living a fulfilling life. Though that was until the otherworlders came to this world and began killing everyone like madmen.

"These lambs, these power sources. How dare they treat me, the Great Aboth, like this? Once the sun comes up, I will show them what it means to go against me! And those girls… hehehe…" an ugly expression appeared on his face. His smile filled with lust, he licked his lips while fantasizing all those girls.

-Click!

A voice resounded at the gate, shaking Aboth from his daydreaming, as he looked at the gate fearfully. His eyes were focused at the gate as a single girl appeared from that place. A blonde girl wearing a cloak as she checked around the area. Her eyes were carefully observing the treasury, but if one looked properly there was a lot of greed in them.

Even the symbol of money was present in her eyes if one looked carefully.

Anyways, as she was moving into the room, her eyes then fell at the corner where the man with a dozen artifacts was lying in fear. Her eyes narrowed before she hid behind one of the artifact shelves.

"I thought there was no one inside the treasury," Avida mumbled in irritation as she wondered what she should do now. Even though she was capable of fighting, she wanted to save some strength while escaping out of here.

\'All right. Let\'s assess the situation first,\' She calmed down as she looked through the corners once again. She could tell with a single glance that it was that King that was present when they first entered here.

\'What is he doing here? And with so many artifacts on him?\' Avida\'s mind kept running as she asked all sorts of obvious questions and came to the obvious result. This king was a coward, and was hiding from the players.

If he were strong, he wouldn\'t be cowering here in a random corner of the treasury. Though the fact that he was wearing a dozen artifacts also meant that it won\'t exactly be a cake walk to defeat him.

"Though since it\'s just artifacts… I don\'t think it should be a problem," Avida smiled as she then ran around the corners, hiding behind the shelves and slowly moving forward, until she reached really close to that King. She took a deep breath before suddenly standing in his line of vision.

"EEEK!" That guy was alarmed as he saw her, before he pointed a gun in her direction.

"You must be-" Avida wanted to get close to him but before she even took a step, that guy shot at Avida with deep fear in his eyes.

-SHOT!

Easily evading that shot, Avida looked at him with a serious look that changed into a wide grin as she realized that this guy can\'t fight at all.

"I am gonna enjoy torturing this one," she spoke out loud as she moved towards that prince.

-SHOT! SHOT! SHOT!

[Steal!]

She dodged most of the attacks before using her special skill that she got from her [Gift!] and stealing the artifact that she had seen and assessed in the few seconds of their exchange.

The color on Aboth\'s face was drained as he saw his gun vanishing from his hand and appearing right in Avida\'s. Though the major reason was the devilish smile that Avida had on her face right now.

[Location: South West Laboratory!]

"Just a bit more, and we are done," Levi spoke as he indulged himself deeper into the machinery, trying to find all the clues and connecting them. Given how he was canceling the incoming reinforcements without letting the enemy send even a single person to this side, he was pretty much enjoying the whole process.

Outside the rest of the staff had already run away into hiding given how the players were behaving. Hence the laboratory was empty right now, with Levi being the only one present there. It was also one of the reasons why he could finish the work faster than before.

"I could connect with the baseline and then we can cut the power supply. This should turn the immortals into mortals but… what should I do about the barrier? Hmmm… since it\'s not my area of expertise, I will let Adrian handle this," Levi mumbled as he continued to make changes throughout the machinery.

While the life supply and the reinforcement was connected to the machinery, it was easy to take control over them. But for the barrier. It seemed to be functioning on its own, like it has a life of its own.

\'Pretty creepy,\' He mumbled as he continued with the work.

On the sideline, he was also keeping an eye on how everything was going on. A smile was ever present on his face as he saw his group members handling the situation with pretty much ease. Even though there were minor disturbances, most of the problems were solved on their own.

"I should be careful… this is addicting," Levi\'s grin widened as he stopped another 10 portals that were about to take shape within the castle. His eyes glimmered as the problems in front of him were increasing. The harder they were, the wider the grin on Levi\'s face.

[Location: On the Surface! Right outside the Prison Gate near the central Hallway!]

[Adrian\'s POV!]

I was observing the situation on the map, and it seems most of the things are still under control. I was surprised to find the Prince on the ground floor, but nothing was out of calculation. Another thing that I was surprised about was the improvement with Luke.

\'He got better, didn\'t he?\' I thought as I saw him handling Amia by himself. Even though he was still naive and his past mistakes cannot be erased just because he seemed to be better, I think I can put him into observation for now.

Though before that…

I closed my eyes to use the [Spatial Mastery!] and see those three idiots glaring at each other behind me. Given their past circumstances, I kind of understand them but honestly. I don\'t really care. I just want to create a perfect ecosystem where this kingdom can survive and thrive by itself.

If not for the quests, I would rather have them all killed since that would be the best outcome. Except the Prince of course, whom I would be using as the proxy king while managing it all in the hindsight until the kingdom becomes a self functioning high defense kingdom.

"Are you guys done? I know that you all know that all three of you have suffered enough. If you want to continue hating the same people that are going to be your most trusted allies against those bastards, then you are only going to get killed again.

Don\'t tell me that petty differences are going to come in between your real resolve?" I asked as I looked at them, making them all observe me with a deep look.

I don\'t care whether they solve the problem, or die with it. But if they somehow happen to hinder my plans, then only they will be blamed for their own demise. I aren\'t exactly playing hero here, anyways.

They all turned quiet before I sighed and then focused back on the players who were still killing all the NPCs. A smile blossomed on my face as I looked at the system notification that showed how many collective skill points they have collected up until now.

[Total Event Skill Points: 271,651!]

\'At least something is going right,\' I smiled as I was sure to get 110k skill points after this event. Enough to up another one of my skills to S-Grade. Though something else happened before that. Something that widened my smile even more…

I saw the strange energy that was supporting the life of those immortal beings. It vanished from the castle.

Levi has successfully blocked that life energy.

The immortals have turned into mortals now.

[Location: Underground Prison!]

[Invar\'s POV!]

As I was fighting this seemingly never ending fight, I looked at the sudden system message that appeared in front of me.

[The Life energy of the NPCs have been cut! From now on, they will die if you kill them!]

A wide grin appeared on my face as I looked at those 7 Royal Guards, who were now observing with horror appearing in their eyes. They were surely blabbering about how they would kill me and use my swords on their own… these bastards…

"Aren\'t you gonna come at me?" I laughed as I looked at them, making sure to make this last death, as painful as possible.

[Luke\'s POV!]

I thought this was over.

I looked at that Saintess barely alive, fallen on the ground, shocked with her eyes wide open as she couldn\'t believe what was going on.

[The Life energy of the NPCs have been cut! From now on, they will die if you kill them!]

\'Perfect timing,\' I sighed as I was glad that I hadn\'t killed her a few moments ago. Else she might still be in her full power. Now, killing them would end this never ending charade.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait!" She started shouting as she looked at me. Her eyes were crying as she began crawling away from me. I was about to pity her, but recalling how she was going on and on about how she would kill me and eat me alive and stuff… I shook my head before moving closer to her.

"You bastard! DIE!" She shouted as she threw a wave of light magic at me. But I then mumbled,

[Aura Art: Fourth Step: Absorb!]

That wave of light was absorbed within my sword, before I made another slash in her direction.

[Aura Art: Fifth Step: Reflect!]

That attack reached her legs, cutting them off from her body as she screamed loudly. And then moving one step at a time, I reached closer to her.

"Hey! Boy! I know there is something you want! I can give you anything you want? Girls? Power?

Money? Anything! Just name it!" She tried negotiating but I was too tired to even think of it. I just wanted to get over it. Using Aura art is mentally taxing.

"Boy! You don\'t know what you are messing wi-"

-Slash!

I cut her into two parts, as her body fell on the ground, before turning into golden lights. After the effects, I saw a Card appearing at the place where she was before.

[C-Grade Skill Card: Self-Regeneration!]

\'Hmmm. Pretty weak for a C-Grade,\' I mumbled as I then took the card before walking away from there. I wonder how the others are doing right now.
