Chapter 184: Invasion (6)

BANG!... CLASH!!!... BANGGGG!

The distant sounds of panic and confusion grew louder with each passing moment, but Rel remained focused, his gaze fixed on the empty hallway.

THUMP.... THUMP.... THUMP!

He heard a series of heavy thumps, each one accompanied by a low, guttural growl.

Then, Jasper stumbled into view, his eyes fixated on the shimmering artifact within the display case, his mouth watering with an almost feral hunger.

"For the mission... take it..." he muttered, his voice a raspy whisper.

As he drew closer, Jasper\'s gaze fell upon Rel, and his movements abruptly ceased.

Even through the mask, Rel could sense the recognition in Jasper\'s eyes.

Demons who had consumed the serum possessed enhanced senses, and Jasper seemed to have recognized a familiar pattern, a faint echo of their previous encounter.

Irritated by this unexpected obstacle, Jasper gritted his teeth, the demonic energy within him flowing around his body.

"Shadow... writer... shadow... writer..." he chanted, the words a mantra of rage and frustration.

"RIGHT! I WILL GET MY REVENGE!"

RAHHHHH!!!

With a primal roar, Jasper unleashed a wave of destructive energy, shattering the glass displays around him.

Rel, his eyes widening in alarm, instinctively moved to protect the Tower Shard\'s central display case.

The glass vibrated under the onslaught, but miraculously, it held firm, the artifact within remaining unscathed.

Rel released a quiet sigh of relief.

"I can\'t let this break," he muttered to himself, his eyes fixed on the unscathed display case.

"If he gets his hands on the shard... I might not be able to beat him."

Jasper, though battered and disoriented, was still several meters away, his gaze locked on the artifact with a predatory hunger.

Rel stepped forward, his movements deliberate and measured.

"I still remember what you did that day," he said, his voice low and menacing.

"You\'ll regret making me piss myself."

With a swift motion, he unsheathed Axel, the hybrid blade shining ominously in the dim light.

A dark aura erupted from Rel\'s hand, enveloping the sword in a dusk blackness that crackled with energy.

"You won\'t be reaching this room,"

Rel declared, his voice echoing through the shattered gallery.

He planted his feet ready to finish what he had started.

Jasper lunged forward, a guttural roar erupting from his throat.

HWRAH!!!..

Two new identical arms sprouted from his sides, each ending in a grotesque, pulsating, barbed wire whip, dripping with venomous demonic energy.

Rel\'s face contorted in disgust.

"Seeing this in person is even more disgusting than I imagined," he muttered under his breath.

"I\'ll kill you!"

Jasper shouted, his monstrous voice ringing in the empty gallery.

huuuuuu...

The demonic energy swirling around him intensified, fueling his rage and amplifying his terrifying power.

With a frightening speed, Jasper attacked...

SLASHHHH!

His four whips lashed out in a flurry of deadly blows.

Each whip, propelled by a gust of wind-infused demonic energy, sliced through the air with a sickening whistle, leaving trails of black smoke in their wake.

Rel moving with incredible speed, stepped and dodged through the onslaught.

SLASH!, SLASH!, SLASH!!

He ducked beneath one whip and parried another with his sword, a burst of black lightning erupting from the point of contact, searing the flesh of the demonic arm.

He sidestepped a third, then spun with his blade, slashing with a black arc as he unleashed a counterattack.

SLASH!... SLASH!

His sword now pouring in a dark aura, slashed through two of Jasper\'s whips, each strike accompanied by a crackling surge of black lightning that left deep, smoking wounds on the mutated limbs.

KEUKKK!

The severed whips recoiled, their barbed wires sparking and hissing as they hit the ground, still twitching with residual demonic energy.

Rel, having severed two of Jasper\'s barbed whips, watched the demon stumble back, the raw stumps of his mutated limbs oozing with a sickly black ichor.

"You can only whip someone so much, Jasper," A manic grin spread across Rel\'s masked face.

"But now that you\'re weakened... I think it\'s a good time to use this."

Rel\'s grip tightened on his hybrid sword, and his blue eyes transformed, glowing with a fiery crimson light.

SHAAAAAAAAA!

His aura flared, a torrent of darkness erupting from his blade, engulfing it in a crackling vortex of energy.

He took a step forward, his right foot slamming into the ground with a resounding thud.

At this moment, Rel realized that during the time he used Trickster at Arms, his system abilities and muscle memory for using weapons paved the way for him to create his first ever skilled attack known as \'Divine Severance.\'

Although he had yet to learn the phenomenon of how he did it.

It was all thanks to Projectile Projection that allowed his aura to reflexively activate, allowing Rel the freedom to attack and parry at will.

With his current understanding of his abilities using a combination of aura, his will, and his swordsmanship.

This created a slash capable of severing and disrupting the process or the flow of an attack, creating a distortion against the opponent.

With only Rel\'s understanding of Divine Severance and his ability Trickster at Arms, a new skill had been formed... purely for attack.

[A Skill Move Is Being Formed...]

Rel drew the sword back over his right shoulder, the black blade angled upwards, bursting with power.

Jasper\'s eyes widened with fear as he watched the dark aura emit out of his blade.

"Shattered Judgement."

The words echoed through the gallery as Rel unleashed a mighty swing.

His body turned as he channelled his aura into the descending blade.

BANGGGGGGG!!!

A shockwave of pure energy rippled outward, shattering the remaining display cases and sending shards of glass flying.

The black blade connected with Jasper\'s body, not with steel, but with a release of black aura.

CRACK...CRACK...

The demon\'s scream was cut short as the energy tore through his body, disrupting the very flow of his demonic power.

His eyes darkened, and his body was completely smothered with the unbearable pain that consumed him.

Rel followed through with the swing, his blade completing its arc, launching Jasper through the air like a ragdoll.

The demi-human crashed through the wall, his broken body shattered by the complete devastation of Rel\'s aura...
