Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2062 - Speechless

It didn’t expect an opportunity like this to fall into its lap. It could wipe away its past shame and reestablish its glory! “Li Tianming could never have expected that after defeating the Blood Abyss Wargod and moving away from Violetglory so that not even the wonderians could track it, he still couldn’t escape them! My existence will be his eternal nightmare.” Da Huang was excited and started chattering on, showing its low intelligence as a cosmic wildbeast.

“He deserves it.” As for the Minister Supreme, he was excited to be the mysterians’ game-changer. He walked forward, trying to find a suitable spot.

“The land here is all flat. How will you hide?” The Minister Supreme felt a headache.

“Doesn’t matter, just find somewhere deserted to bury me. Here is fine!” Da Huang said.

“You sure?”

“Sure.”

“This star has expanded, so the soil layer is thin. Below is the fusion formation. When you grow bigger, your head won’t just pop out of the ground right?”

“It’s fine. Even if it does and they find out, I’m not a Voidheart Worm. They’ll just think I’m a wildbeast that’s native to Violetglory and won’t connect me to the mysterians,” Da Huang said.

“True.” The Minister Supreme extended his hand. The eye and mouth on his palm slowly slid off and fell down, becoming a yellow, octopus-like lump of flesh. Its tentacles were all covered with suckers, out of which yellow fumes began pouring.

“It stinks!” The Minister Supreme covered his nose, feeling faint.

“Shut up! We wasteland bugs are the universe’s smelliest bug! The more we eat, the more we stink. When my body grows large enough, the stink will travel to the astralscape and mark this sun as a smelly star. The mysterians used to use us wasteland bugs before they started raising Voidheart Worms to locate nova sources. You don’t need pairs, like Voidheart Worms, you can just use your nose to smell it!” When Da Huang thought of its race’s history, it felt incomparably proud. To these bugs, the smellier they were, the more valuable they were.

It was truly a gift to become famous based on smell.

“If you all were so great, why did the Voidheart Worms replace you?”

“They have our abilities, while also being strong in combat. However, we breed faster!” Da Huang said.

“Alright! Say, won’t you be discovered because of the smell?” the Minister Supreme asked.

“Don’t worry. We wouldn’t have been able to survive if we couldn’t conceal ourselves. When the smell reaches a certain level, it’ll be uniform everywhere.” Da Huang was filled with confidence. “Quick! I need meat! Lots and lots of it.”

“The sun temporarily has limited wildbeasts, so you’ll need to wait!”

“No rush!”

The Minister Supreme would secretly find meat for it while Da Huang dug downward, laughing. “Just wait until my smell knocks you all out! I’ll stink up this whole place and you won’t be able to escape the mysterians’ noses no matter where you run!” It had been filled with resentment ever since it was abandoned by the mysterians. However, it wasn’t resentful toward the mysterians, but instead had a desire to one day contribute merit and earn glory for its race.

Da Huang couldn’t help but laugh excitedly.

“You moron! What a … complete joke. Didn’t all… of you… hear whose… territory the… sun is! One star… can’t have… two bugs… Get it?” There was suddenly a mechanical voice next to Da Huang.

“Who’re you!” Da Huang was so startled its soul left its body.

In front of it, a small silver cockroach became visible. The cockroach had the gaze of someone looking at an idiot. “I am… your granddaddy!”

Da Huang had no impression of the cockroach. It wasn’t Yin Chen’s combat form and it was usually hidden, so not many people had seen it.

“You want… to silence… me here? I heard… everything you… said just... now now! A pair… of idiots!” the cockroach coldly laughed.

Da Huang felt like it had been humiliated. “Go and die!” It leapt forward and pinched the cockroach to death before letting loose a sigh of relief. However, it quickly found itself beset by an ill premonition.

“Da Huang, come out,” the Minister Supreme said from outside. He sounded despondent.

Da Huang crawled out of the soil and found a golden head above it, blazing with fire. A red-haired sovereign was holding up the Minister Supreme by the back of his neck. Sovereign Brightscorch was also there, helplessly looking at them.

Da Huang\'s vision turned dark. Its grand plan had been thwarted!

Wudi was hoisting the Minister Supreme up and chuckling. “Newcomers, haven’t you heard who the king of insects on this sun is? This is my son’s Yin Chen’s territory. Trying to conspire and sell us out?”

The Minister Supreme and Da Huang’s expressions constricted. It wasn’t that they were unaware of Yin Chen; however, the gossip being spread about Tianming had too many versions, and some were too absurd. Some even said every grain of sand on their star was his body and so on.

As someone who’d rejected Tianming’s takeover of the Divineglory Dynasty, the Minister Supreme had indeed not bothered to understand him well. He refused to believe!

Still, it was indeed their bad luck. Yin Chen couldn’t cover everywhere now, so there were gaps in the surveillance. It was just a coincidence they had been found out so soon.

Wudi was speechless, too. A disaster in the making had been resolved just like this. “So, you’re very smelly? Let’s see if the Flameyellow Coffin can burn you to ashes.” Wudi picked up Da Huang and tossed it inside the coffin.

“Mercy!” Da Huang cried.

“Anything that wants to challenge the sun or Tianming should die as early as possible.” Wudi never left any path to survival for his enemies.

The universe’s smelliest bug was burnt to ashes just like that. In the end, the fellow had nothing but its smell. Back then, Skywolf Frost’s Voidheart Worm had been even bigger than an astralship. That had been truly terrifying.

“Da Huang.…” The Minister Supreme felt his knees go weak when he saw his brother die so tragically.

“Is this your little brother?” Wudi asked Sovereign Brightscorch.

“Yes! I’m sorry that I almost harmed everyone.” Sovereign Brightscorch was very remorseful.

“Fortunately, nothing happened. Today’s a joyous day, so I’ll let you handle it yourself!” Wudi said.

“Many thanks, Brother Wudi,” Sovereign Brightscorch said.

The Minister Supreme was thrown to the ground, utterly stunned. Had his grand plan really died in the crib because of a few sentences? Wasn’t this world too scary? Li Tianming’s shadow had been cast over everything! He hadn’t experienced the war between the celestial orderians and myriad sects, otherwise he would have been certain that any conspiracies against Tianming had to be done in the dark without being said out loud. There might seem to be no one around, but there were actually insects watching everything!

After Wudi left, Sovereign Brightscorch was speechless. So was the Minister Supreme.

“Sorry, Imperial Brother.”

“Get lost, you idiot!”
