Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 2225 - Mundus Enforcers

The entire Swordgod Lin Clan contingent of three hundred participants only had thirty members in the Order stage. On Ebonia, being able to reach that high before turning a hundred years old was the benchmark to determine if they were an infinitum-class genius. As long as one became an astral god, they would be an infinitum-class genius whether they had five-or six-six talent, and become destined to stand at the apex of all living things on Ebonia.

When Tianming looked at her stature, a sense of safety enveloped him.

"Hey, hey, hey, what are you looking at? We\'re both married. Hold yourself back and don\'t have any improper thoughts about big sis! I already have a ’one wife and two concubines’ status in public, and I even have seven ’manservants’ in private. There\'s no place left for you."

“Yes, yes, yes!” The Lin Clan’s rule was that when a disciple became an astral god, they could only have children after a thousand years old. It was surprising that Lin Lele already had a harem when she was so young. That was proof of her charm.

“Looks like you and I are the same sort, going for the younger ones that aren’t even thirty years old yet. We both like fresh meat. Tsk, tsk." Lin Lele gave Tianming a dirty smile.

“Yes, yes, yes!” Tianming felt cold sweat.

"My grandfather asked me to watch over you. When we enter the Oldgod Domain, just follow behind Big Sis. Anyone dares to touch you and I\'ll crush their eggs, got it?" Lin Lele reached out and clenched her fist in the air.

“Understood, understood, understood!”

"And definitely don’t fall in love with me. I’m not into men like you who’ve been tainted, got it?" Lin Lele said with disdain.

“Understood, understood, understood!”

For the minor reges mundi ranking, the max was teams of two for the preliminary battles. It was very loyal of Lin Lele to team up with Tianming, an ‘eighth-level stellaminor’, to protect him. After all, one’s partner\'s combat strength had a huge impact on their own ranking. Thus, nobody wanted a bad teammate. In critical moments, one might end up fighting two opponents alone and even be screwed over by a bad teammate. Who would be willing to do that?

"He looks good, but unfortunately he isn’t pure!" Lin Lele gave him another look, before shaking her head with a sigh.

Tianming was speechless. Although he was a little uncomfortable, having this loyal big sis as a protector did indeed increase his confidence.

……

The giant golden sword fell from the sky and stabbed into Ebonia’s soil. Their destination was within view. During the final few days, Lin Lingxiao had sealed off all of the Firmament’s windows, so the participants felt like they had suddenly arrived at the battlefield.

“We’re at the Oldgod Domain’s entrance. Everyone, bring your things and get in formation to leave!” Under Lin Lingxiao’s stern orders, the three hundred-odd disciples left their cultivation chamber and lined up in an orderly fashion. Under the tense atmosphere, they left the Firmament.

“Let’s go!” Lin Lele hoisted Tianming up by his neck. She ignored the disciples’ strange looks and dragged him to the front of the contingent.

“Big Sis, be gentle!” Tianming said.

“How’re you so weak?” Lin Lele said with disdain.

“Nonsense!” Tianming straightened his back and strutted forward with large strides, exiting into the world outside through a golden passageway.

Within his spatial ring, the Grand-Orient Sword shook like mad. It was a sense of both desire and frustration. Although the sword was its main body, it was nowhere near as big as the Infinitum Stele.

“Wow!”

For the Lin Clan disciples who had never really left the Infinitum Swordsea, it was many people’s first time seeing the Infinitum Stele. They were unable to hold back their gasps of surprise despite the tense atmosphere.

Tianming shook as well as he craned his neck to try and look up. A great wall stood in front of him. He couldn’t see where it ended, and when he looked up, it seemed to extend endlessly in that direction as well.

Supposedly, the Infinitum Stele was in the shape of a black sword. There were a hundred million names on it, and the higher a name was, the more glorious!

However, Tianming couldn’t see any ‘sword’. If he wanted to go around this wall, how long would it take? How far would he have to walk? He noticed the golden words. They all shone with divine light that pierced through the darkness, every name seemingly with a will of its own.

“The minor reges mundi ranking doesn’t actually exist. It’s just a route for disciples under a hundred years old to quickly climb up the Infinitum Stele! Our names will soon be erected there, too!” Lin Lele looked up as she spoke with passion and anticipation.

“Everyone says that in the Infinitum Bodhimanda, only those with their names on the reges mundi ranking are true cultivators. Is that true?” Tianming asked.

“Naturally. They’re the idols of us all,” Lin Lele said.

The clouds churned and Tianming saw something familiar above the stele. They were black chains that revolved around the stele as if they were locking it down. He suddenly recalled the black chains that revolved around Ebonia; the scene in front of him meant that the chains’ point of origin was the Infinitum Stele. He deeply inhaled. The secrets of this world of darkness would make anyone excited!

Their next battlefield was the Oldgod Domain below the Infinitum Stele. Ten thousand geniuses would gather there over the next two days before they would all proceed inside together. Rumor had it that the Infinitum Regal Clans, of which the Swordgod Lin Clan was part, took up seven thousand of these geniuses. The Lin Clan’s three hundred was a low number by comparison.

That was because the number one Infinitum Regal Clan, the ebons, had three thousand disciples coming. The other regal clans had four thousand in total.

As for the other three thousand geniuses, they were from the various other clans and organizations on Ebonia. Being able to produce a single contestant brought glory to them.

Tianming had gone to the Lin Clan as soon as he’d arrived on Ebonia. There, he was a hundred year old trash. However, in other more ordinary organizations, a hundred-year-old twelfth-level solarian would be quite decent.

The Lin Clan’s contingent had arrived early, so the Mundus Enforcers gave them Oldgod Rings ahead of time. The Mundus Enforcers were like Distant Star Patrol Tianming had encountered in the past. They were under the Infinitum Bodhimanda and were a direct subordinate organization of Yi Daiyan, with members hailing from all over the mundus. They were more or less a scaled-up version of the Hall of Discipline.

As for Oldgod Rings, they were an artifact like the Swordsoul Bracelets. They acted as locators, recorders, and only had a single-use life protecting feature. They were primarily meant to let the outside world see the various disciples’ performances. Thus, even if they died, at least their corpse could be retrieved.

Most of all, they were supposedly linked to the Infinitum Stele!

Having the rings meant that the grand battle was about to arrive. Together, the various geniuses of Ebonia all entered the field.
