Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 393 Ryeis Versus Kaizen (Part 4)

As the three swords spun a little above Kaizen\'s head, Ryeis stared at them, knowing that he could not stand still or he would be wiped out by these strange blades, so he prepared for the next attack. Although he was determined to win the battle, the confidence he had at the beginning was now gone, knowing that he was fighting an experienced, intelligent player with many tricks up his sleeve.

With a war cry, Ryeis advanced on Kaizen, swinging his sword with both hands. But Kaizen did not move a muscle in his legs, neither to advance nor to retreat. He stood still in the same place, but extended his arm forward, controlling all three swords and effectively blocking Ryeis\' attack. The Psyker then countered with a swift strike, which Ryeis promptly parried.

As the crowd watched in amazement, the Eye of Storm sliced through the wind at breakneck speed, the Sword of Night glowed with an eerie brilliance, and the Næġling Falske left a trail of blood where it passed. The crowd marveled at Kaizen\'s ability. Some shouted in surprise, while others kept a respectful silence. Most were simply stunned by what they saw. It was something they had never seen before, something that looked like something out of a wuxia story.

Ryeis, on the other hand, was not so impressed. He knew that Kaizen was a skilled player, but he had his own skills. As the three swords swirled in the air, Ryeis concentrated and felt the blood in his body boil. Suddenly, he shot at Kaizen and disappeared in a blur of rapid motion.

Kaizen reacted quickly, moving all three swords in one fluid motion to intercept Ryeis\' attack.

The swords collided in a shower of sparks, creating the sound of metal against metal. Ryeis retreated and soon advanced again, but Kaizen continued to block his attacks with all three swords, creating an impenetrable barrier.

The crowd watched in fascination as the two players fought in a deadly dance, their swords slicing the air in all directions.

Kaizen\'s skill was clearly superior to Ryeis\', but the owner of the crystal sword refused to give up, knowing that if he could find an opening, he could win the battle.

Finally, that opportunity came. Ryeis slipped through Kaizen\'s guard and slashed hard with his own sword. Kaizen tried to block, but Næġling Falske could not stop Ryeis\' sharp blade from piercing his belly.

[You took 789 damage].

With effort, Kaizen gathered his energy and unleashed a burst of psychic energy that knocked Ryeis off his feet, leaving his sword wedged in his belly. Unwittingly, the Psyker staggered backward, visibly wounded, and fell to his knees. Then all three of his swords fell to the ground with a metallic clang.

The crowd fell silent. No one could believe what they saw. It all happened so fast.

Would Kaizen really lose like that? His fans couldn\'t believe it.

The crowd in the Valkyria Arena and the millions of viewers online held their breath, waiting for the worst. But then something unbelievable happened. Kaizen slowly stood up, his hands shaking with pain and effort. He looked at Ryeis with a determined expression and a smile on his face, and then pulled the sword out of his belly in one swift motion. Then he threw the crystal sword to the ground next to his fallen swords.

The crowd began to roar with excitement, seeing the injured player still struggling to get up so willingly.

Ryeis took a few steps back, surprised by Kaizen\'s stubbornness. \'What? I\'m sure I gave him a supercritical blow this time. How is he still standing? Can\'t you see that this fight is already over?\' Ryeis wondered.

Kaizen took a deep breath and looked at the top left corner of his vision. There were two bars, one for MP and the other for HP, and both were almost empty. He had two options, try to finish this off by using the remaining mana now with <Psychokinesis> or use the remaining mana to use <Advanced Healing>. Whatever he chose would definitely determine the fate of the battle. It was a difficult choice, or rather, it was supposed to be. However, Kaizen didn\'t even have to think about it because his fighting style was definitely not compatible with using <Advanced Healing> and retreating only to be cornered by Ryeis again. He preferred to be aggressive, even if it meant risking everything.

So Kaizen moved forward again, spinning not just three swords around him, but four, counting the crystal sword. Giving Ryeis a defiant look, he ordered all the swords to advance in front of him. The swords swung and struck more than ten times in a minute, and since Ryeis was without a weapon, each strike caused the crowd to roar with excitement.

Ryeis fought bravely, but Kaizen\'s skill was undeniable. With each blow, his guard weakened, and finally Kaizen found an opening, not with the swords, but with the spear. For a few seconds, he used the swords as a distraction, opening his inventory, searching for the Spear of Capable Fury, and when he finally had it in his hand, his mana was almost gone, but he raised the spear over his right shoulder, bent his knees, and threw it at his opponent.

The spear instantly crossed the space between Kaizen and Ryeis, hitting the center of Ryeis\' chest with a deafening thud and silence as everyone in the arena suddenly fell silent.

The player staggered backwards with the spear still in his chest and fell to his knees, his crystal sword falling next to him like all the others. Kaizen\'s mana ran out just in time.

A moment later, the crowd erupted in cheers and shouts of admiration as Kaizen stood triumphantly over his fallen opponent.

And so the battle ended, with Kaizen emerging victorious, and the crowd giving him a euphoric standing ovation.
