Chapter 518 Blitz: All-Out (1)
Noticing Kyran\'s cold expression, Mannick guessed something had happened. He immediately said, "We can still handle the situation here, you go do what you have to do."
Kyran gritted his teeth. Compared to the situation in Noser, it was easy to resolve the situation here. However, they could not waste too much time.
For one thing, Lira had sent three forerunners to the Regis Estate, if she did not hear anything from them soon, another group would be sent out. When that happened, there was no one to intercept them. If they managed to get to Ruin and inform him about the situation, it was possible that he would drag his fight with Nolan to where Mannick and company were at and kill them. Kyran was confident in Mannick\'s ability to escape. He might even take Euan with him. But Kyran was not worried about them. The reason he wanted to save Mannick was because of his people, not them.
It was at a time like this that Kyran hated the fact he could not produce an essence. Even if his essence would suffer a level down, he was confident his essence could whittle down the army\'s military strength before wasting away.
Before Kyran could say something, a male sprite with blue and green scales suddenly appeared before him.
Euan and Rivka were shocked to see the Spirit appear out of thin air. As far as they were concerned, a spirit would only show itself if they were up to no good.
Euan\'s initial reaction was to draw his sword. After all, he had bad blood with them from what happened to Haylee. However, upon seeing the Spirit kneel in midair before Kyran, he stopped short from drawing his sword.
"Void Master, you need not hesitate and give us a command to go to battle."
Rivka who had gone pale from seeing the spirit, almost choked after hearing how it addressed the mysterious man. Countless questions swirled around his head, but was too scared to voice them out.
Kyran looked at Alary. He did not notice when the latter had arrived. In any case, Alary\'s words gave him mixed emotions.
After reliving what happened in Vates plane, Kyran admitted he was scared to send all of his people to battle.
Sending them to battle was no trifle matter. It was equivalent to him sending them to their deaths. Though his relationships to most of them were not deep, that did not lessen the responsibility he would feel if they died.
A person only had one life. Once lost, it could never return.
Although, Haylee could not take their souls, there was still the Macabre Glacier. If the mirror took their souls, what would happen?
Kyran now understood what Euan had said earlier, about bearing the responsibility of \'disposing\' his own people. Their situation might be different, but fundamentally, the idea was the same.
[Void Halfling, what is the point of you gathering all these people? Isn\'t it to use them? It may sound cold, but its the truth. You said it yourself. You are not omnipotent. That is why you needed these people to help you.]
Kyran did not respond, but knew True Void was right. It was only that, he did not realize how huge the responsibility he had to bear until it was now right in front of him.
Euan observed Kyran in silence. He knew from experience how the latter felt right at this moment. It was a numbing experience Euan had to get used to.
After a tensed moment, Kyran finally took a deep breath and said, "Tell White Lily and Ezra to help Zephyr."
Alary lowered his head further before replying, "As you command, Void Master."
With a small puff, Alary left. Kyran then turned to Euan and Mannick and said, "I\'ll make it quick."
Before Euan or Mannick could say anything, Kyran disappeared in a blink of an eye.

Bo an Esme, with several master mages had already destroyed the line Mannick\'s men had managed to recover. There were still far from the middle of the formation, but because they had the advantage of stamina and number, it would only be a matter of time before they could break through.
Red magic arrays circled Bo\'s forearms as deep red flames enveloped his golden gauntlets. These gauntlets were magic items that amplified Bo\'s fire magic. The moment the red flames merged with the golden gauntlets, the gauntlets emitted a golden light. In an instant, the red flames turned into gold and Bo slammed his fists together.
He charged into the enemy line like a bull while smacking and swiping his fists on anyone that tried to stop him.
On the other side, Esme held a long silver staff with a light blue crystal hovering at the top. Cold mist formed around the crystal, giving anyone who saw it the feeling of how terrifyingly cold it was.
Several soldiers surrounded Esme, all of them held their weapons and attacked her from all sides.
Esme\'s eyes glinted maliciously as a thirty-meter diameter blue magic array appeared on the ground, with her at the middle.
"Move out!" Someone shouted.
However, only those who were still within the border was able to retreat before a powerful snowstorm surged out of the magic array.
"AAAHHH!"
Mournful wails filled the air as those soldiers who failed to move out of Esme\'s magic range was covered by the snow. They tried to use rouse their magic and strengthen their magic barriers, however, it was useless. Soon, their bodies had turned into ice sculptures.
"Shatter," Esme said in a very soft voice.
BOOM!
The soldiers that turned into ice sculptures exploded.
In just a few minutes, Bo and Esme killed off countless soldiers, allowing the other master mages with them to charge into the enemy line.
"RAWRGH!"
BOOM!
Bo jumped and slammed his fists on the ground, creating a three-meter radius crater of golden flames. All of the enemy soldiers nearby were sent flying or even crushed to death.
Esme slowly advanced forward and summoning another snowstorm, turning more enemy soldiers into ice sculptures before shattering them to their deaths.
Their magic attacks devastated the west flank.
As soon as the second line of defence was taken care of, Bo and Esme stopped their attacks. They stood at the back of their formation and let the master mages advanced.
Bo and Esme did not stop their attack because they believed it was not necessary to take action anymore, but that they had to replenish their magic energy. Their flashy attacks consumed a lot of magic energy, after all.
Frankly, Bo and Esme did not want to expend so much magic energy at the get go. However, they did not want to give the enemy soldiers a chance to regroup or send more soldiers to hold their formation. They also had to show their might and draw out the mysterious person that killed their people.
Though that person was attacked both sides indiscriminately, Bo, Esme and the rest were not stupid to realize that the former had no intentions of killing Mannick\'s men. They did not know what that person\'s relationship with Mannick was but it actually proved the latter had hidden his connections well.
"You think this is enough to draw that person out?" Esme asked without looking at Bo.
Bo drank a high-grade magic energy replenishing potion in one gulp before throwing the bottle to the ground.
"If not, we\'ll just have to kill more."
"What if Deputy Marshal Mannick comes instead?"
"All the better," Bo sneered. "So what if he\'s an Exalted? What if he is known as the most powerful Deputy Marshal?"
He took out a small black stone and deftly rolled it between his fingers, "If he can\'t cast magic, its useless."
Esme looked at him with a frown. It was their plan to use the Anti-Cast stone on their target, regardless of who it was. However, there was a possibility they would also use it against them.
Seeing Esme\'s look, Bo chuckled, "Relax. There are two of us. As long as one of us used the stone before our target makes a move, it will be fine."
Esme took a deep breath and looked at their advancing formation.
"True, but what if they also sent two people to deal with us? Deputy Marshal Mannick is not stupid. Who ever comes, he will definitely tell them to come after me first since my Ice magic can stop movements. When that happens, I need you to quickly use the stone to disable at least one of—."
FOOOSH!
Esme stopped as water splattered to her face.
No. Not water. Because water did not have a metallic smell.
Before she could turn her head, something rolled and touched her feet. As she subconsciously looked down, she realized her view seemed to be getting closer and closer to the ground.
\'Wha...\'
Thud. Thud.
Bo\'s and Esme\'s bodies fell to the ground and blood splattered around them.
Behind them was none other than Kyran, who brandished his swords to the side and rid of their blades of blood.
"Lt. General Bo! Lt. General Esme! We have already broken through—."
A soldier came running at the back to report. When he saw Bo\'s and Esme\'s headless bodies on the ground, his blood ran cold. A figure flashed past him and his head also flew in the air.
