Chapter 596 Agreement
Such an effect was obviously due to Kyran\'s Void magic. However, that was not the only magic energy coming from them.
Similarly, Kyran\'s magic energy had changed, scaring the living daylights out of \'Light.\' Because not only was his \'main\' magic the mysterious Void magic, but he also possessed \'Dragon\' magic.
In the past few hundred years, more and more mages from different planes were born that could attract two types of magic energies, turning them into dual-magic users. However, most of these mages could only make full use of one magic while the other one would play a more supporting role.
This had been the case with Kairo. He possessed both fire and wind magic, but could only make full use of the former while the latter served as an enhancer.
But that did not seem to be the case with Kyran.
First of all, the Void and Dragon were two rare and powerful magic— ignoring the fact that Void magic only appeared twice in history, even the Dragon magic could only be used by dragon spawns from the Lower Realm. And those dragon spawns were Legendary beasts possessing characteristics of a dragon and another powerful mythical creature— two good examples were the Quilins and Sea Serpents. The former was an offspring of a dragon and a unicorn, while the latter was of a dragon and sea creature.
But that was the thing. These two examples were beasts, not humans. They might have the ability to turn into humans given enough time, but they were still beasts.
Kyran was definitely a human. Apart from possessing monstrous strength, which Light now believed was probably due to his \'dragon blood,\' Kyran did not possess any obvious dragon characteristics.
For this reason, Light was caught off guard after discovering Kyran also possessed Dragon magic.
Light could not help but smile bitterly in her heart.
When she first descended into the Human plane, she had thought she had an overwhelming advantage against its native mages. Even if the plane\'s Sovereign appear before her, she was confident in taking care of him without breaking a sweat. With the weakening Sovereign\'s Cradle, she believed the Sovereign of the Human plane was on the last verge of his life. It also explained the reason the Human plane already had a Sage— the human who was working with Ruin outside.
Light believed that the only possible threat to her was that human. But since Deception and Toad were keeping the latter and Ruin busy, no one could pose any threat to her.
Not even the Soul Emperor or the infamous new Dark Sage.
But Light\'s beliefs were shattered after the revelation of Kyran\'s dual magic.
To think that the first person Light encountered had to be this guy. She initially thought she had the situation under control even after Kyran revealed the nature of his Void magic by \'learning\' how to use Light magic. In the end, what she had seen was only the tip of the iceberg. Kyran actually had a far more sinister trump card.
Learning how to use other magic was obviously a powerful trump card. However, Kyran would need time to learn it by prolonging the fight. Light had guessed it was the reason Kyran never tried to use his Void magic to counter her attacks but kept on \'absorbing\' them.
In a fast-paced battle, Kyran would not really be at a disadvantage because of his Void magic. But now, he also possessed Dragon magic. He was such a cheat!
"Why won\'t you fight it?" Kyran asked Light with a slight frown.
If Light was someone who would easily surrender, Kyran felt she would be a problematic Sigil, thus, he was now having second thoughts.
Light smiled bitterly as she said, "Do you even have to ask? Your Void magic is preventing me from circulating magic energy. I can\'t even use my space storage and use an item to help me out of this predicament."
"You can still summon your magic weapon\'s soul."
Light\'s eyes constricted upon hearing Kyran\'s suggestion.
\'Does he want me to use my magic weapon to try and take it from me?\' she wondered.
Apparently, Light\'s understanding of Kyran\'s had made a strange turn.
Light closed her eyes and sighed in exasperation, "I would have already done it if I could."
Kyran pointed at the golden staff in Light\'s hand, "You\'re already using it, right? Do you have to do something different before you can summon its soul?"
Light opened her eyes and tried shaking her head, but with her body restrained by the miniature dragons, she could only shake it slightly.
"This magic staff is a spare weapon only."
Kyran\'s brow twitched slightly at Light\'s reply.
A mage using spare weapons was not uncommon. Those with higher magic attainment would normally use their spare weapons when probing another mage upon initial contact. Thus, Light using a spare weapon was not really surprising.
What surprised Kyran— or to be precise— what made him feel somewhat indignant was the fact he felt a sentient residing in Light\'s staff.
Did this mean that her spare staff also produced a sentient?
That was a little annoying and depressing. Kyran only had True Void, and he was not even his but Caelan\'s. Yet, Light had two magic weapons with a sentient?
"You sure are confident to have come here and fought me using a spare weapon," Kyran could not help but comment in indignation.
"You\'re right. I am confident— no... I was confident," Light corrected herself. "In the end, because of my own arrogance, I failed."
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes again.
"Anyhow, I hope you know what you\'re doing. Killing a Sovereign is no small feat. Our leader will definitely not let my death lying around."
"Who said anything about killing you?"
Light\'s eyes snapped open as she looked at Kyran in confusion, "Did you not summon these two to kill me?"
Kyran\'s gave her a blank look, but because half of his face was still covered, she did not see it clearly.
"Why would I deliberately find people to come after me? I already have a few after my ass, I don\'t plan on getting more."
Light\'s face lit up slightly as she asked, "Then why did you summon these—."
"Don\'t get me wrong. I don\'t want to increase my enemies, but I don\'t mind having more people to work with me."
Light frowned slightly after realizing something and said, "Did you plan to use these dragons to threaten me into submission?"
Kyran chuckled, "That\'s an interesting thought. But why would I do that when I have a better way of making you submit."
"What do you mean—?"
Before Light could complete her question, the miniature dragons started to move again.
Kyran\'s eyes flashed silver as he said, "If you agree to become my Sigil, I will keep your personality intact. What do you say?"

The defensive array protecting the Boyd Family\'s Villa was on the verge of collapse as the two sea serpents resumed their battle.
Currently, the bluish-white sea serpent was already in a sorry state after getting thrashed by the bluish-green sea serpent. Apart from this, the former\'s size had a significant change. It seemed to have lost weight and had shrunk several meters. On the other hand, the latter turned more majestic and powerful.
With the bluish-white sea serpent in this state, it was impossible for Osric not to notice.
Although the fight between him and Tritus was in a stalemate, Osric still had a slight advantage.
\'This can\'t go on. I have to get closer and unsummon my weapon\'s sentient,\' Osric thought through gritted teeth while launching several small sea serpents toward Tritus.
Tritus whirled the golden trident before him and summoned a beautifully arced water barrier, protecting himself from the onslaught of the sea serpents.
While Tritus was busy fending against the sea serpents, Osric took this chance in using a teleportation token. He broke several tokens and together with his speed, he managed to gain more than a hundred meters of distance from Tritus.
Tritus already sensed Osric\'s escape before he finished off all the sea serpents.
Whoosh!
Tritus struck the last sea serpent and it exploded into water before dissipating in the air. He looked up in the direction where Osric had escaped with a thoughtful expression.
The truth, Tritus was aware of what happened to Neo and that the latter was taken to the Boyd Family\'s villa. He did not hear about the situation from Kyran because there was no time for them to catch up. The reason he knew about it was because of the Sigil\'s other effect— the empathy link.
Due to this, Tritus more or less knew what the other Sigils and Kyran were thinking. This link helped all beast tamers coordinate his Sigils attack without barking out orders.
"Going there will put me at a disadvantage because my link to master will disappear. However," his eyes narrowed as an excited glint flashed in his eyes under the visor of his headgear. "I have a feeling that the pressure that came with fighting at a disadvantageous position is the last push I needed to advance."
