Chapter 1387: Heaven Observation Field’s Stargazers

Chapter 1387: Heaven Observation Field’s Stargazers

Before Shang Xia obtained the Spirit Ark, the Spirit Luxuriant World didn’t actually have any large-scale Star Ships. Everything they constructed up to that point could only be considered mid-sized at best when compared to Star Ships outside the Heaven Observation Field.

After Shang Xia brought the Spirit Ark back to the Spirit Luxuriant World, they immediately started to research it the best they could. It wasn’t to replicate another but they wanted to craft a large-scale Star Ship.

Not too long after Shang Xia brought Yan Ming to meet up with them, the deputy patriarchs also sent over a batch of disciples the Tongyou Institution had been nurturing in recent years. They would follow Shang Xia out of the Heaven Observation Field as a form of training.

Chu Jia wanted to follow Shang Xia, but as the only rank six Formation Grandmaster of the Tongyou Institution, she had too much to do. She was in such a rush that she had to leave right after she completed inspecting the ship and the formations on it.

Shang Xia moved quickly and the moment the preparations were complete, he moved in a batch of resources and immediately activated the Spirit Ark to fly out of the Spirit Luxuriant World. Under Song Zhen’s familiar control, it started to accelerate into the sea of stars.

Shang Xia never stepped foot into Star Beast Nest No.2 the entire time to greet Kou Chongxue or to tell him of any plans.

If Zhang Xuansheng was the only person who discovered his presence the moment he returned to the Spirit Luxuriant World, the departure of the Spirit Ark alerted everyone else. True Immortals weren’t the only ones affected too. Even Martial Dipper Realm cultivators felt its presence.

Once again, the Spirit Luxuriant World realized that the Tongyou Institution was going to pull some shit out of their ass again.

Carefully thinking about it, from the fusion of the Azure Worlds to their ascension to the Spirit Luxuriant World, everything that happened that hastened the growth of their world was related to the Tongyou Institution in one way or another.

The members of the Spirit Luxuriant World might tremble in their boots whenever the Tongyou Institution moved out, and most of the time, they would suffer heavy casualties, but they had to say that the benefits the Tongyou Institution brought back were far greater than their losses.

That was also the reason why many people had been throwing in their alliance to follow the institution. Other than their terrifying strength, which was the main reason, the Tongyou Institution didn’t avoid bringing their members and alliance mates out during expeditions. They would take the greatest benefits, but everyone else wouldn’t be forgotten. The institution would still give them a share.

With the members of the Tongyou Institution familiarizing themselves with the control of the ship under Song Zhen’s leadership, they flew faster and faster. It wouldn’t take long before they would enter the chaotic streams around the Spirit Luxuriant World.

Shang Xia brought Yan Ming over to the bridge of the ship seeing as they were about to enter the chaotic streams and smiled. “We’ll have to rely on you from now on.”

On a slightly raised platform that was on the bridge, tiny specks of light flickered. One of them was moving rapidly, signifying the Spirit Ark.

Yan Ming laughed in response, “I might not have left the chaotic streams around our Spirit Luxuriant World before, but I heard many stories about it. With an expert like True Immortal Song with us, we should not run into any problems.”

Song Zhen stood at the side and forced a chuckle, “Young Lady Yan, you are overestimating me. You’re a Stargazer and your importance here far overshadows me.”

Yan Ming blinked once and smiled, “True Immortal Song, please give me pointers on how to proceed once we enter...”

“I wouldn’t dare! We’re trying to traverse the passage that has been charted for the first time and I will fully focus on controlling the ship according to your instructions. You are the key navigator who will be in charge of our safety. True Immortal Shang and I are in your care.” Song Zhen waved his hand hurriedly.

Glancing at Shang Xia, Yan Ming laughed, “Isn’t the Spirit Ark the greatest protection for all of us?”

Song Zhen turned serious suddenly and shook his head. “No... I’m not intentionally flattering you or anything, and True Immortal Shang is no ordinary expert. Even so, your abilities will still be able to ensure our safety. Young Lady Yan, you will understand once you see what happens.”

Shang Xia sighed softly at the side suddenly. “It’s a shame we are in a rush. Otherwise, if I am able to craft more Myriad Tinted Cloud Talismans and deploy the Talisman Formation on the ship, we will be in a much better spot.”

As he spoke, the Spirit Ark pierced through the formless barrier that led into the streams of chaotic space and everything started to rock slightly. It was clear the impact was great.

However, compared to the time Shang Xia entered the streams of chaotic space around Essence Worlds with the Wanyun Association, it was nothing. The chaotic streams couldn’t do anything to the protection around the ship.

The ship vibrated slightly as they traveled across the streams of chaotic space, and even though Shang Xia knew it was nothing, the experts on board felt their hearts pounding in fright. There were even some who turned pale when feeling the effects of chaotic streams battering against the ship.

With them traveling through the chaotic streams, Yan Ming’s ability became clear.

Combining her skills with Yuan Qiuyuan’s Star Chart, they were able to avoid several chaotic bursts with Song Zhen’s skillful control of the ark. Throughout the process, she adjusted the direction they were traveling 4 times.

Even though the chaotic streams were unable to break the ark’s defenses, it placed huge pressure on the main body of the ark. A lot of energy would be used up maintaining its defenses.

Song Zhen grew more surprised the more he watched Yan Ming’s navigational skills.

She didn’t notice the change in his expression as she was fully focused on where they were going and the changes happening all around.

As the Stargazer who reached her current achievements the latest while having the highest cultivation among the rest, she fully immersed herself in the role of being a navigator of the Spirit Ark.

She might be in a state of focus and failed to notice Song Zhen’s expression, but Shang Xia was different. He saw the look on Song Zhen’s face and mocked, “This is just the start. She’s still trying to get used to this... Anyway, haven’t you been trying to kiss up to a Stargazer? Here’s your chance.”

Song Zhen frowned and revealed a strangely solemn expression. “From what you said, you saw Stargazers outside the Heaven Observation Field. How do they compare to Young Lady Yan?”

It was true that Shang Xia had seen Stargazers in action outside the Heaven Observation Field, but he hadn’t seen them personally activating their secret art as he was too far from the Twin Star Pirates back then.

“Do you think there’s a difference?” Shang Xia threw the question back to him.

Shaking his head, Song Zhen mumbled, “How many Stargazers out there can notice the chaotic bursts before they happen? Before it happens, barely any sign is shown. Not even our divine souls will be able to notice anything wrong before it’s too late. Even though those freak accidents wouldn’t shatter our defenses, they might cause the ship to shake violently. When that happens, the True Immortal on board would have to personally act to stabilize the Star Ship to prevent any accidents.”
