Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 111: Chapter 67: The Little Library

Arriving at \'Dream of Glazed Glass\', she followed her usual routine, changing into the black and white maid dress before descending the stairs.

"Dantalion~ hurry over here." Not long after entering the shop, the girl was called over by her companions.

"Come and see, your exclusive bar counter is about to be finished." Upon arrival, two blue-haired maid sisters pulled the girl over to a circular partition.

From the outside, it remarkably resembled the White Feather Church of Deklabi, but it was made of a matte black that felt like fine sand. Entering the circular interior, the black screen wall that greeted her was embossed with the image of an open book, and behind the open book was the silhouette of a girl, exuding a mysterious aura.

Stepping inside, it was like entering a miniature library, with antique brass-colored bookshelves standing along the inner walls of the circle, encircling and enclosing the small world within. Old-style wrought-iron lamps that emitted a warm yellow glow extended from either side of the shelves, rendering the interior environment tranquil and soft. Enjoy more content from mvl

At the very back of this tiny library, in the center, was a tall chair, its legs slightly trapezoidal, giving it an extra solid appearance. It could also be climbed like a ladder using the crossbars on either side, making it perfect for girls of shorter stature.

Hexia might not have been particularly petite, but when she sat on this chair, she inevitably appeared as adorable as a cute doll thanks to its framing.

On the back of the high stool, out of the customers\' sight, there was a storage compartment for books, pens, or even cookies and snacks.

Directly facing the high stool were ten movable auditorium seats, including fabric-covered chairs, reclining loungers for comfortable lying down, and grey cushions for relaxing or sleeping, interspersed with two slightly lower tea tables for placing small items and serving refreshments.

The overall interior was just the right size, not too stifling nor too empty and cold, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

"However, that\'s not everything," the two maids told Hexia as they had her sit on the high stool, then urged her to speak.

"The ceiling here, the surrounding bookshelves, even the floor, can all change. Just say the command, and the AI will adjust everything according to your words," the two said, looking at the girl on the high stool, nodding in satisfaction from time to time.

"For example, Dantalion might say she wants to see a lush forest and grassland."

"Alright," the girl pondered briefly, then spoke.

Consequently, the room\'s bookshelves were gradually obscured by falling curtain walls, and then the ceiling, walls, and floor burst into bright luminance.

Seconds later, as the light faded, a small village with smoke rising from its chimneys came into view, with their position atop a small hill not far from the settlement, and Hexia seated under a large apple tree. The dappling of the tree\'s shade cast her face and figure in a hazy, dreamy beauty.

"The underwater scene can be changed, too." A maid continued to remark.

Before long, upon the young girl\'s instruction, the room seemed to turn into an aquarium, with undulating blue waves overhead. Nearby, schools of fish and other sea creatures swam about, while colorful coral and seashells lay beneath their feet. The sound of water seemed to surround them, resembling some kind of song.

"You can also witness scenes from outdoor adventures."

The surrounding environment changed into the dark of night, and between the audience and Hexia, there was a burning holographic campfire. It crackled and popped, and looking around into the distance, one could even see the silhouettes of mountains in the twilight and the solitary dark castle atop the high mountain.

"A regular café and the city area work, too."

So, the surroundings changed once again, this time into the more lively scene of a coffee shop. Red brick walls surrounded them, and not far off, a coffee machine bubbled and released a pleasant aroma. Outside the café\'s window was a scene from the 18th century, with people driving old cars, holding newspapers in their hands, and some riding high-wheel bicycles through the bustling streets that never quieted down.

"Some marvelous and perilous landscapes can also be created," she said.

The play of light and shadow within the room transformed their location again into what seemed like the summit of a snow-capped mountain. Everywhere were steep and heart-stopping cliffs, with magnificent mountain ranges unfolding in the distance and the unceasing sound of the cold wind whistling by their ears.

...

Various lights and shadows continually shifted, allowing those inside to feel as if they were walking through numerous real worlds, experiencing all the moving stories within them.

After about an hour, Hexia ceased to explore the different features further, but the two maids in front of her seemed to still want more.

"Thank you, but let\'s stop here for now," she said as she lightly hopped down from the barstool\'s side rail.

"I am Dantalion. Who might you two seniors be?" Although they had enthusiastically brought her over, Hexia did not actually remember the two maids\' names.

"I\'m \'Orias,\'" one maid said, pressing her hand to her chest and curtsying; a lion\'s head badge was on the bowtie on her chest.

"I am \'Vapula.\'" This maid also made a curtsy, holding her skirt. Her bowtie had a badge as well, but the emblem inside was that of a griffin.

Orias: The 59th Demon God in King Solomon\'s 72 pillars, depicted as a lion riding atop a great warhorse, with the horse\'s tail being that of a serpent from Hell and with two such serpents in his right hand. He grants virtue, has a deep understanding of Heavenly Motion, and aids people irrespective of whether they are friends or foes.

Vapula: The 60th Demon God in King Solomon\'s 72 pillars, appearing in the form of a griffin. He endows people with a mastery of all crafts and the sciences of philosophy.

"We both work under Lord Leviathan most of the time. Dantalion, today is probably the first time you\'ve met us," they said, their hair colors similar and their heights matching, almost like twins.

Having introduced themselves, the two continued to question Hexia, asking if there were any features she might want to add or improve upon.

"In the beginning, it will definitely need quite a few adjustments; I estimate it will enter a stable phase after a month."

"Don\'t be shy to speak up, Dantalion."

"You can contact us anytime; here are our communication IDs. If any repair or maintenance is needed, you can also get in touch with us."

"How about trying it out today, get the familiar staff from the store to experience it along with Dantalion?"

"In the future, Dantalion could also combine selling some small souvenirs; this would help improve revenue."

"We shall not disturb you any longer then; see you this afternoon."

The words of the two maids overlapped and resonated like a rhythmic echo, finished their speech, and then bowed to say goodbye together.

Watching the retreating figures walking side by side into the distance, Hexia finally began to make sense of many things. She turned to look around the circular room—though not large, it seemed exceptionally comfortable. When the door closed behind her, the inside became incredibly quiet, like a little world isolated from everything else.

It really suited her tastes well, the girl blinked.
